At Ben’s BBQ Shack, barbecue isn’t a trend or a shortcut. It’s a tradition built on patience, craftsmanship, and doing things the right way. Founded by owner and pitmaster Ben Hoffman, our shack was built on Southern roots, honest work, and a belief that exceptional BBQ starts with fire, wood, and time.

Originally from Kentucky and proud to call Indiana home, Ben brought more than recipes to Westfield — he brought a philosophy. Every brisket, rib, and smoked favorite is prepared the old-fashioned way in a real pit using hickory and cherry wood. No gas. No electronics. No shortcuts. Just carefully tended fires and the kind of attention that can’t be rushed.

Slow smoked. Never rushed.

We are, and will always be, a true BBQ joint.

For more than five years, Ben’s BBQ Shack has become a local favorite in Hamilton County by staying true to what barbecue was always meant to be: simple, authentic, and full of flavor earned through time and effort. We’re proud to be Westfield’s hometown BBQ joint — not a chain, not a franchise, but a place built by community and supported by neighbors.
